The Gosford RSL club is located in West Gosford on the Central Coast Hwy close to the bottom of the Kariong Hill.

While the outside of the building isn’t much to look at from the street, it has been renovated fairly recently and is generally fairly nice inside.

Some of the features found within the Gosford RSL club include plenty of parking, a large bistro style restaurant and a large child friendly area. Also, the Pokies area is not overly obtrusive so the sound of the machines isn’t too noticeable in the dining areas.

All of the areas in the club were well cleaned and inviting. There is plenty of seating and the place feels friendly.

The Meal

The meals were very good value. As we were only looking for a light meal for an early lunch, we had the Fish and Chips and a Chicken Caesar Salad.

The Fish and Chips for around $13 was very good value. The fish was well cooked and the chips were nice and crispy. The presentation was very good as they came served in a nice paper cone on a serving stand with a small fresh side salad underneath.

The Chicken Caesar Salad at around $14.50 was also presented nicely; it was well dressed and appeared to be freshly made with a generous portion of chicken. I would however say that the anchovy was perhaps a bit to predominant and with the amount of chicken, it would have been better if it had been cut into smaller pieces rather than large fillets.

As far as the service offered goes, the staff were all friendly and the food came out in a very reasonable amount of time. This is more than adequate for the type of venue.

A good spot for a cheap, quick meal. Take the time and get a membership. All the food comes at a discount for members, for us, the discounts more than covered the price of the membership on our first visit.
