How to make Harissa Sauce

A sauce with beautiful African and Middle-Eastern flavours that can be used in dishes such as Couscous or as a base for a Rouille sauce.

Harissa Sauce

Ingredients

½ Roasted Red Pepper
1 tsp tomato puree
½  tsp ground coriander
A pinch of Saffron strands
1 medium - hot red Dutch Chilli, stalk removed and roughly chopped
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
¼ tsp salt

Directions

Chop the roasted pepper flesh roughly.

Roasted Red Pepper
Blend until smooth

Put the roasted pepper, tomato puree, ground coriander, saffron, chilli, cayenne pepper and salt into a food processor.

Blend until you obtain a smooth paste.
